With 12 games on the NBA DFS slate tonight there are plenty of decisions when it comes to building a winning lineup. Understanding ownership on a huge slate is important and being able to pivot from a highly owned player to a lesser owned player with big upside could jump your lineup to the top. We will be looking at some players to target tonight in GPP contests as pivots from highly owned players.
Dennis Schroder has been on a complete tear for the Hawks recently by averaging 37.6 fantasy points over his previous four games. He has been extremely efficient while on the court with a usage rate of 30.9 percent. With a current ownership projection of a middling 10%, Schroder is one of the highest valued GPP plays in our projections tonight and makes for a great pivot from some of the stars like James Harden and Russell Westbrook who will be higher owned.
The small forward position tonight includes projected highly owned studs such as LeBron James (17% ownership projection) and Giannis Antetokounmpo (15% ownership projection). Going down to Robert Covington instead will yield significant ownership savings while retaining good value (5.3 projected DK points per dollar). He lead the 76ers in scoring with 22 points in 34 minutes in their previous game on Wednesday. Covington can also rack up fantasy points by rebounds and steals. The 76ers host the Pacers tonight and both teams play at a high pace.
With big names tonight at the center position like DeMarcus Cousins, Anthony Davis and even Joel Embiid, we can turn to Nikola Vucevic who will be lower owned. Vucevic draws a superb matchup tonight against the Bulls who have been torched by opposing big men all year, ranking 24th overall. While on the court, Vucevic has played at a high pace of 108 and has been insanely efficient with a 68.4 true shooting percentage.
Which under touted player will you turn tonight in GPPs?
